It is ORDERED and NOTICE IS GIVEN that a default hearing has been scheduled for
January 29, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. on the Petition for Formal Adjudication of Intestacy, Determination of Heirs, and Appointment of Personal Representative, filed on July 2, 2025 by Petitioner, Marsha Smith. No appearances are required.
Pursuant to Minnesota Supreme Court Order ADM20-8001, this court will rule on the Petition in this case after administrative review of submissions without appearance unless an objection is filed. The court reserves the right to take testimony on this matter in its sole discretion.
If you object to the relief sought, you must file a written objection with the court administrator by 4:30 p.m. on January 28, 2026. Written objections not filed by the ordered date and time will not be considered. Written objections can be filed with the court filing fee one of three ways: 1) Mailed with applicable filing fee to: Hennepin County District Court –
Probate/Mental Health Division, 300 South Sixth Street – C4 Govt. Ctr., Minneapolis, MN 554870340; or 2) Electronically filed using the electronic filing system; or 3) Placed in the on-site drop box designated for court filings. If objections are filed timely, the hearing will be rescheduled.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that notice shall be given by mailing via U.S. Postal Service a copy of this Notice and Order postmarked at least fourteen (14) days prior to the deadline for objections to all interested persons as defined in Minnesota Statutes § 524.1-201 and persons who have filed a demand for notice pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 524.3-204. Any charitable beneficiary may request notice of the probate proceeding be given to the attorney general pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 501B.41, subdivision 5.
